Before and After

A year from now, I am going to want to post “before” and “after” pictures, so you all can marvel at how skinny I have become. In order to do that, I had to go out and get some pictures to use for the “before” shot.

So, I went up to Stony Creek, but I forgot that hunting season was still on, and the woods were rather full of gentlemen carrying firearms. So, I only did a short ride in the mud and slop and then took a few pictures.

I decked myself out in the latest fashions here in Perry County: A Blaze Orange hoodie, MUSA pants, and hiking boots.

Berserker!

To give you some perspective, that’s a 22″ Karate Monkey. That’s the biggest size they make.

I have a few other, less flattering pictures in this series, but you’ll have to wait until I have something more flattering to compare them with before I’ll post them.

I’m including this picture, just so you all can marvel at my hairy beard. I think it makes me look manly and rugged, or at least slightly deranged.

Quite a handsome fellow indeed

Maybe by the time I’m ready for the “After” picture, I’ll have something a bit more refined. Perhaps something like this:

Squid Beard

Today: 6 miles
January: 6 miles
2008: 6 miles
2008 Weight Loss: 0 pounds

  1. Bone-

Happy New Year, congrats on the new crib, and best of luck on slicing off a few pounds.

    You can do it.

Stay in touch man, I still think about how much fun it was to hang-n-ride last Spring… and how incredibly cool it was for you to come over and roll with us.

You should fly out to The Minneapolis [airfare is pretty cheap] and roll with us again… the vibe is pretty amazing out here, and I can show you around.

  2. Yeah, I definitely want to come out there some time. Expedia tells me airfare is about $400 bucks.

Bread is a little tight around here right now with the house and all, but maybe this summer or fall I could do it.

I want to put all those fancy bike paths on my map anyhow.

    I’ll let you know.
