By parading a stream of other people’s lives in front of us, [television / computer / cinema] screens remove the responsibility to create our own lives. We watch other people doing things instead of doing them ourselves.

  1. Or…we’re opened up to a world we otherwise wouldn’t have stumbled upon, and inspired to stretch our boundaries. I vote for taking both statements with a grain of salt.

  2. I agree. I think he’s talking mostly about reality television and the sort of malarkey that happens most often on social media websites.

    I’m not sure I agree 100% with his ideas. I think they go too far, but in the right direction — if that makes any sense.
